About

I’m Johannes Ariens and I am a developer. I understand there are a lot of associations with this, many not positive.  I am also an urbanist, environmentalist, and nonconformist.  My objective is to create a space and community that merges these areas in such a way that will move this narrative in a direction that better aligns with the values of myself and my peers.

Alternative Developers are passionate about design, thoughtful in what they choose to create, and strive to build an experience rather than just a structure. They understand the relationship between the built and natural environments and that harmony between the two is essential to their success.

I’ve successfully served others as a VP and in senior project management roles. I have helped others build their companies and have also started my own. I hold undergraduate, Master’s and Certificate degrees in construction management, commercial real estate, LEED, and DBIA Certification amongst others.

I spend a lot of time on skis, in the mountains, and as a cold-water surfer both recreationally and professionally.  My time spent in the natural environment has shaped and fueled my passion for Alternative Development.

It’s my hope that in Radify, we can work our way together through the complexities that come with any Alternative Development. This community is your network and resource bank for all things related to Alternative Development.

Let me know how you found us and what you’d like help with!

Thanks,

JA
